"My artistic practice in contemporary jewellery focuses on the exploration of tactile contrast and the promotion of a joyful, optimistic narrative. I create wearable objects where the rigid architectonics of plastic and metal are transformed through the integration of fragile glass and fluid silk threads.
A rich palette and an emphasis on vibrant colors serve as my primary tools for emotional impact, turning each piece into an autonomous source of vital energy. This dialogue of materials and pure pigments allows me to redefine the boundaries between a utilitarian object and a small-scale sculpture.
Interacting with the human body as a living exhibition space, my works communicate the idea of conscious joy and inner freedom. By merging industrial textures with the softness of textiles, I explore life galore offering the viewer a dynamic, sensory, and life-affirming experience."

To an extraordinary contemporary costume jewelry came from years of practice in surrealistic artistic photography, visual multimedia arts, sculpting, fashion design. Started from working with precious and semi-precious metals, stones and pearls and moved forward to more fun, emotionally light, contemporary and optimistic designs using liquid plastic as the main part of forms manipulation.
All pieces are handcrafted by the artist herself, each one a unique piece, using cast plastics and resins, proprietary techniques, and molds. Natural elements complement these designs: metals, wood, glass, horn, vintage lace, silk threads, pearls, and semi-precious stones.
Katerina Bodrunova's work has already been exhibited at numerous Russian and international exhibitions, including in Paris, Tokyo (Tranoi), Munich during Munich Jewellery Week 2026 (Studio Wearhouse, Amsterdam), in National Central Museum of Kazakhstan (Almaty, “Under one sky” international exhibition), international exhibitions and fairs in London (Amalgam by Cluster) during London Design Week 2026, two curated and juried events in Budapest (“InFlow 2026” Contemporary Art Jewelry Exhibition & Conference и “Design Without Borders” in Kiscelli Museum), exhibition “Gorgeous Jewellery 4.0” in Shanghai (JCC International Contemporary Jewellery Center), curated exhibitions “Earrings Galore” in New York during New York Jewelry week 2026 (Heidi Lowe Gallery) and Madrid (Asociación de Diseñadores de Orfebrería y Joyería Contemporáneas, Cerralbo Museum).
